M.A.S.K. Trainer Jamahl – Now British HEAVYWEIGHT Taekwondo Champion – Sponsorship Opportunity!! 😊

On Saturday 3rd May, M.A.S.K. trainer Jamahl travelled to Margate, Kent, for the Master Wolf’s Taekwondo Association British Taekwondo Championships.

This is an event that Jamahl first won as a 10 year old boy, winning his first ever British title in only his 2nd ever tournament. This year, the head of the tournament, Master Wolf (9th Dan Black Belt) had a lovely surprise for Jamahl, offering him the opportunity to compete in the Men’s heavyweight division – despite weighing in at only 73.7Kg at the W.A.K.O. British Kickboxing Grand Slam the week earlier!

The Men’s heavyweight division saw Jamahl giving away 20Kg in weight to some competitors and for the very first time in his life at a height of 6′ 2 inches tall…Jamahl was the shortest in the category!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Jamahl was also 5 years younger than the next youngest competitor and had to be on his “A-Game” to compete with these big boys which included 2 former Men’s World Kickboxing Champions.

Still, against the odds he somehow managed to secure Gold – his 2nd in 2 weekends after winning his division at the British Kickboxing Grand Slam in Bath the week earlier.

Right now Jamahl is training hard and competing as often as he can to be get in the very best shape possible before flying out to Abu Dhabi in November for the W.A.K.O. World Kickboxing Championships.

This is THE biggest tournament of Jamahl’s life so far against the very highest opposition on the planet. Jamahl will be matching his skills against some of the finest combat athletes in the sport, aiming to become one of the youngest adult male champions of all time at just 20 years old.

Remembering Jamahl’s very humble beginnings, diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and ADHD as a young child, in special needs education until age 13…now aiming to achieve one of the biggest prizes of all in amateur combat sports.

Jamahl is still actively seeking sponsorship! A superb role model and disciplined athlete, Jamahl has still a very long way to go before achieving the required level of sponsorship needed to get him to Abu Dhabi.Β Β

If you know of anyone, local or national businesses who would be interested in potentially sponsoring Jamahl, please don’t hesitate to put us in touch.Β

Huge thanks to the kind donations of sponsorship so far, your help means so very much. ❀️
Until next time stay awesome!
